Do I need to pay a deposit to reserve a boat?
Yes, you will pay for the taxes/fees upfront and the Captain will collect the balance shortly after.
When is my credit card charged?
Your credit card will be charged shortly after making your reservation online. The Captain will charge the remaining rental balance usually within 24-48 hours.
What is the service fee?
Fun Boat Rental charges a small service fee on each reservation to maintain customer support, payment processing, and the platform.
How and when do I tip the captain?
Tipping is always at your discretion, but 10%–20% is customary for great service on chartered trips. You can tip your captain directly in cash at the dock.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover).
What is a security allowance or damage hold?
To protect owners against incidental damages or excessive cleaning fees, bookings may include a security allowance. This is not charged by our company. This fee is charged by the Captain.
